Hi Kotresh,

We are 7 people (all guys) in total going to KP on 25th DEC.

We have never went for such a long trek before. So please let me know how difficult it will be for us.

Actually we have planned to go to malpe beach after trekking (after resting for one night in Kukke). Will it be good or we will be exhausted after the trek?

For first timers Kumara Parvatha will be difficult one. It is not single day trek. It requires at-least one and half day to complete. For first timers consider it as two days trek. Definitely you will be exhausted after trek. But its fine to go and relax in beach :). It will be total 4days trek+trip

Thank you.. :-) However, all are excited and enthusiastic about it... There is nothing big to worry about I guess.

Any suggestions about what kind of food is best to carry? and How much water would be essential for 7 people(assuming that we don't find any water source after Bhattara Mane)?

Morning breakfast take parcel from Kukke(Idli), Afternoon Lunch have it in Battaramane, Carry dry Chapati, curd, pickles, knorr soup etc (or Rice and Piliyogare mix or worst case MTR ready to eat). Second day break fast carry noodles and prepare it. lunch again have it in battaramane.

You will find water source near Kallu mantap. Better to carry atleat 2 liters per person from Kallumantap if you are planning to stay at peak.
