Dear Kotresh,

Three of my friends and I are having plans to go for Kudremukh trekking (from Kalsa side planning to hike). Next Sat (Sep 9th) we are planning for the trekking. Below are some of the questions for which I need your help:

1. Will they allow for trekking if we plan for next Sat (Sep 9th)?

2. Do we need to have a guide compulsorily, if so do we need to inform them in advance?

3. Can we complete the trekking (ascending and descending) of the trek on the same day?

Please let me know if there is anything we need to be focussed as part of this Kudremukh trekking.

Thanks, Vimal S.

Yes.It will be allowed in September.

2. Do we need to have a guide compulsorily, if so do we need to inform them in advance?

Forest department recommends to have a guide. Informing in advance not required.

3. Can we complete the trekking (ascending and descending) of the trek on the same day?

Yes. You can complete. Start early by 7 am so that you can spend more time over there
